Psalm 96:11-13
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.
Let all creation rejoice before the Lord, for he comes,
he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples in his faithfulness.
Reflection
Christmas time can be hectic as we scramble to make a list of the people we want to honor with gifts and celebration. Let us not forget that Jesus died for us and resurrected so that His joy could be placed in us. We have a lot to be joyful for. We have life, eternal, through Jesus Christ, and He is with us day to day in good and bad times. What can you think of that makes you joyful these days? What do you want to celebrate?
