Isaiah 7:13-14
Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
Reflection
As it is, human faith is often so weak that we require signs in order to believe God is with us. Yet God requires that we step forward in faith in order for us to experience Him. Stepping forward in faith can also mean walking with Him in His ways and entering into a relationship with Him through this act of worship. Have you been keeping God on the sidelines as you ponder His existence? Or have you been rebelling because you’ve decided that you have more time to squander? Do you need to be still, know He is God, and jump into His loving arms with two feet? Jump in! If you are halfway there, this is your time to jump in. Can you feel it?
